Dubai Real Estate

Energized by the Dubai Property Laws and the overall dynamism of the economy, Dubai's property sector has registered a healthy growth trend in the past years. The trends in the six-year period from 2000 to 2006 are indicative of the robust growth of the property and real estate sector.

Small villas and apartments continue to be popular – a trend that started in 2002 with the hand-over of several properties by leading developers including Emaar. Office space was not accorded priority initially but today, demand for office space is burgeoning and it is projected that commercial space will be the largest growth sector in the property market in the coming years.

The following graph illustrates the percentage of growth sustained by the Real Estate Sector every year, from 2002 to 2006. It highlights the maturity of this activity in Dubai, and sheds light on continuing demand for property in all the segments.
